Session Storage

We use an MS-SQL database to save your sessions so they can be accessed from any device. This allows you to share a session with those of your choosing.

Session Cookies

We use a temporary session cookie to manage your active chat session while you are using Topoi. This cookie does not store personal information and is used solely to maintain your session state on our server. The cookie expires when you close your browser or end your session.

No Tracking or Advertising Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

Email Privacy

We do not send unsolicited emails or newsletters. If you choose to share your session using our email service, your email address may be referenced in the sharing email. We will not store or use for any other purpose the addressee's email.

Data Storage on Our Servers

Your sessions with Topoi are stored securely on our server. When you decide to share a session it becomes available via a unique link provided by the our service.

Research Use of Data

We want to be transparent about how we use your data. We store transcripts of your Topoi sessions on our server. The record of each transcript contains your username, nickname, and your email address as well as the date and time of the session. It also includes the token usage reported by openAI. The only data of yours sent to openAI is the text you type into the text input box. OpenAI processes that input and returns the response which is then displayed in the chat interface. OpenAI may use this data to improve their models, but we do not share your personal information with them. We also may use anonymized data from your sessions for research purposes to improve our services.
